Anniversary Pub Crawl & Party

We are a little more than a week away from kicking off our 1 year Anniversary celebration!!! Time sure is flying... Above is the the official logo/design that is currently being printed on some shirts for the event. The music is all lined up with Nashville recording artist, Joe Don Silvers and the Cherokee Rose Band ready to pump out a wide range of personal hits and music from Johnny Cash and more. The casks are conditioning... For out of towners, we do have a block of rooms available at the Double Tree in Durham. This event is family friendly. I'm not sure Abby is going to visit every location, but she will definitely be hanging out at Alivia's, which is our final destination. The crawl gets started at 2:30 at the Down Under. Music will start approximately at 6:00pm. at Alivia's. For all who have emailed or signed up for the event, an email will be going out with additional updates and reminders as the day approaches.

Beer for the Fourth of July!!

Triangle Brewing Company will be holding special "Beer to Go" hours on Friday July 4 in order to provide you the great people of this fine State the freshest beer possible to enjoy while you blow things up. We will be open from 8:00am to 11:00am. You must call 919.683.2337 to access the gate (unless of course your lucky enough to follow someone in who has already called). If you have only come for tours, we do not use that walk in gate for "Beer to Go", you must call so you can pull into our complex. We will be selling growlers of the Belgian Golden, White Ale, and Pale Ale, as well as 22oz bottles of the Belgian Golden. If you desire a keg for your festivities, please call or email (andy@trianglebrewery.com) in advance to reserve your selection. All keg sales are availability only. All sales are cash only! We look forward to seeing you and want to wish everyone the very best. So think National while you drink local "Genuine Durham Ales". No Bull... Just Beer! Cheers.

"No Bull... Just Beer!"

22oz. bottles of our Belgian-Style Golden Ale are now available at Parker and Otis!

Located in a historic warehouse in downtown Durham, Parker and Otis are a speciality food store who are as equally excited as Triangle Brewing Co. to be part of the ongoing revitalization efforts in historic downtown Durham. Due to this, we are proud to have them feature our hand filled line of "Genuine Durham Ales" as a tribute to the city of Durham's great history.

In addition to the store, Parker and Otis also offers breakfast, lunch, and prepared foods using fresh local ingredients. If you haven't been there yet, I suggest a visit for Wine (and Beer) After Work every Thursday night with $2.50 glasses of wine all day and specials on bottled beer from the cooler (hint hint!). If that doesn't work for you, join them every Friday night from 6-8pm for live music from the Duke Street Dogs.

So visit Parker and Otis for all the best that downtown Durham has to offer!

22oz. Bottles Available; Friday 6/20/08

Triangle Brewing Company is proud to announce a limited release of our Belgian-Style Golden Ale in 22oz. bottles. The Bloke and I have hand filled each bottle with an unfiltered version of the Golden Ale and allowed them to carbonate naturally and condition in the bottle. For those unfamiliar with "Bottle Conditioning" it involves a more time-intensive process known as krausening. By adding yeast and new beer to beer that has already fermented, we can begin a new fermentation that occurs in the bottle. During this process the yeast converts sugars from the new beer into alcohol and releases CO2, which is then absorbed into the beer to carbonate it naturally. The yeast sediment acts as a preservative (as well at the 8% abv.) and the beer will continue to mature and add different complexities in its flavor over time. The Bloke and I (and a host of volunteers) lovingly dedicated a significant amount time and effort to bring you the best possible beer that can be enjoyed immediately and/or stored away for a special occasion. The bottles will be available during our "Beer to Go Sales" on Friday 6/20. Cheers and hope you enjoy.

Anniversary Pub Crawl & Cask Event

Triangle Brewing Company is preparing to celebrate our one year anniversary this July, so we decided to organize a "One Year and We're Glad to Be Here Pub Crawl & Cask Event". The event is scheduled for Saturday July 12, 2008 and will begin at 2:30 sharp and last into the evening. For those unfamiliar, a pub crawl (sometimes called a bar tour or bar-hopping) is the act of one or more people drinking in multiple pubs in a single day or night, normally walking to each one between drinking.

Our plan is to tap a special keg at each location, finish the keg and then move on to the next bar. We have selected five wonderful accounts for this event all located on Main Street in Durham. (It was very difficult to make the decision of where to go, but ultimately location for parking and travel were the ultimate factors, and of course having our beer on draft!)

The crawl will begin at 2:30 Sharp at the Down Under Pub and then relocating to Fishmonger's, Satisfactions, James Joyce, and finishing up at Alivia's. Alivia's is our final destination, where we will be tapping 3 Casks, enjoying live honky tonk music from Joe Don Silver, and enjoying some great appetizers and food from Alivia's.

There is no fee to participate in the crawl, except your individual bar tab at the locations. We are arranging for special drink prices for all involved. We do have a sign up sheet at the brewery for those interested in participating or please feel free to email me at rick@trianglebrewery.com to have your name and the number of people who are attending added to the list.

The beer line up for the Pub Crawl consists of (in no specific order) our Xtra Pale Ale, Belgian Golden, Stout, White Ale, and the Imperial Amber (which will be debuting on draft for the first time).

The cask line up is TBA, but they will all be tapped at the same time. This event will occur rain or shine, so email us asap so we can get a count on how many people to expect. Cheers.
